I feel strong and empowered. Maybe things are actually turning around.

My department is participating in a training program based on the Clifton Strengths. If you haven’t heard of them, I high suggest looking into them. Basically, it’s an assessment that displays your strengths based off of 34 characteristics. Everyone’s report is different and catered to the individual. Just because you may have the same top 5 as someone else, doesn’t mean your reports will be the same. That’s because they take into account how ALL of the 34 strengths are ranked. I love this kind of stuff. I love looking into personality traits and assessments and tests. I find it fascinating. This one was no different.

If I had to summarize my 25 page report (yes, 25 pages), it would say: I’m an introspective and creative intellect that loves to think, learn, muse, and reflect, thinks quickly to find resolutions, collects information and ideas, is inspired by the future, excels in abstract reasoning to create alternative ways to proceed, is quick to find patterns, and appears to be quiet and reserved until someone gains my trust… which is difficult to do.

Yeah, that sounds about right.
