Red & gold blooded

Two words… Brock. Purdy.
I have been a die hard 49ers Faithful my entire life. When I moved back to California, it was a breath of fresh air to be able to watch my team on Sundays again. To wear my Niners gear without getting hostile looks from all of the Steelers fans that surrounded me. I am not joking when I tell you that the very first thing I ever said to the bf was “Do you watch football? Who’s your team.” Because there was only one correct answer. I cannot handle watch football with anyone that doesn’t root for the Red and Gold.
That being said… I LOATHE the Cowboys. They’re not my most hated team (that would be Seattle), but they’re up there. Watching them lose is always a joy. I’ve never like Dak, and there’s just something about Elliot that makes me violently angry… maybe it’s his ridiculous crop tops. When it’s the Niners that beat them, well, that just makes for a fantastic day.
I’ll be honest, I was scared when Jimmy G went down against Miami. I was happy when he didn’t leave. I’ve not had much faith in Trey Lance. Don’t get me wrong, the kid's got talent, but I liken it to a RGIII situation… great player but always injured. I’ve not much understood some of the hate that has been thrown Jimmy’s way. No, he’s not an explosive player. He’s never going to be a Montana or a Young, but he’s consistent. Just look at the stats and the winning percentage when he plays. Yes, we lost the 2020 Super Bowl, but between having Bill Vidovich as the head ref (take a look at those stats, we loose more with him than any other ref) and the combo of Holmes and Kelce, it was wasn’t like we lost to… well… the Cowboys (yes, I know, we can’t play them in the SB since we’re both NFC, but you get my point). I’ll also admit that when we were down to our third string QB… a rookie… “Mr. Irrelevant”… I gave up on the season. Boy did that kid prove me wrong!
I swear, if he goes back to being a backup next year, I may riot.
