Youth is wasted

Youth is wasted on the young.

Even as a 40-year-old, if you take me to Disneyland, I’m closing the park down. I will ride rides, walk around, enjoy the magic until they kick me out. My kiddo and her BFF? Nope. They’ve been done before 8pm all three days. I get it, my daughter’s been there a lot, but her friend hasn’t been there since she was little. I was nervous that it was my daughter pressuring her to leave, but nope. It was both.

Is it that they’re bored? They don’t find it as magical as I do? They find their phone more interesting? They have no stamina? Whatever it is, it’s caused them to call me to pick them up early, and then they’re asleep by 9pm.

I’m worried about this generation.
