So. Many. Meetings.

Why, in this country, do we insist on working ourselves to death? In other countries, they make it priority to rest. It’s important to sit down and slowly enjoy a meal while having a meaningful conversation. Enjoying life. Knowing that work will always be there, but family and life will not. Working an obscene amount of hours, not taking vacations, and not sleeping shouldn’t be a badge of honor.

Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE my job. I absolutely love my company. So much so that, if I ever won the lottery, I’d probably still work there. I also love that I am being trusted more and given more managerial type tasks. Leading a big project. Teaching other colleagues things, even though they’ve been there for years, and I’ve been there for months. Still… I wish we had. more time to just enjoy life. Take a break. Relax.

Maybe I need a vacation.
