Leave her alone

The morning started out shaky and it all went downhill from there.

My kiddo had a softball tournament today. When we pulled into the parking lot, she informed me that she forgot to take her meds. Considering how she can get on softball days, I immediately dropped her off and turned around back home to get them. The only silver lining is that this tournament was only 30 minutes from our house. I got back just in time for the first game. But things only got worse.

She wasn’t having her best day of play, and because she’s so hard on herself, it only made her mood tank. Between the second and third game, she had a meltdown. I had to go talk to her coach so that we could team up to try to get her to snap out of it… it didn’t really work. By the time we got home, she just wanted to be left alone… so I did.

Let’s hope tomorrow is better.
