Owning a home isn’t all that it’s cracked up to be.
Don’t get me wrong, I love the fact that I can do anything to this house that I want without having to consult a landlord. Instead, I have to consult the boyfriend… which can sometimes be more difficult. But I digress.
If you’ve ever had a mortgage on a property, you probably know that your loan can, and will be sold to different companies throughout the life of your loan. We purchased our home in early 2018, and our mortgage has already been sold 5 times, the first being within the first couple months of us signing the papers. Other than sending our payment to a different company, and setting up a new online login, it hasn’t been a big deal… until now.
Our current mortgage holder, whom I shall refrain from naming here… are TERRIBLE. I really don’t want to go into the specifics, but let’s just say that there’s a good reason why they have multiple complaints and a crappy BBB rating. Long story short, I’ve been arguing them with over a year to fix an error that they continue to compound, and it’s adversely affect both my and the boyfriend credit score. Well… FINALLY… today… I (hopefully, crossing fingers and toes) worked out a fix with them.
I’ve said it multiple times… adulting sucks.
