Parts unknown

I may not know anything about plumbing, but I do know crap when I see it… no pun intended.

I had to work from home today so I could call, and then wait, for my dad to help with my bathroom sink. When he showed up, I let him do his thing to (hopefully) fix it. On a side note, before I left him to it, I did discovered where I get my tendency of cursing at inanimate object.

My dad came downstairs and showed me the part that broke, saying that he’d never seen a pipe connection like it before. It was cheap plastic that they used when building the house. He then left to go find the replacement. Which sounded easy, until he came back. He went to the plumbing store, Lowe’s, Walmart, Home Depot, and NO ONE had the part. I guess the guy at the plumbing store didn’t even know what that part was. I had to order the part from Amazon. Fingers crossed it’s the right one since the exact part isn’t even made anymore.

I really hope this isn’t how the rest of my week is going to be.
