Why isn’t teleporting a thing yet?

This time, last year, I was at the Louvre looking into the eyes of Mona Lisa. Now, I’m working and hoping that one day, I can gaze upon that face again. I sure do hope William Shatner gets his shit together and gives us teleportation.
