Late start

I’m so glad I took today off.

My kiddo was supposed to have a softball tournament today and tomorrow, but it’s raining cats and dogs, so no softball. On a side note, where in the world did “raining cats and dogs” come from? Who looked out and thought, “Wow! Those raindrops sure do look like my fur babies!” Were they high? Anyway… I digress. I had already requested today off, and decided to keep it as a “mental health day”.

Since I was up until 3am this morning, since insomnia decided to come back into my life, there was no way I was going to be any good at work. I woke up briefly when the boyfriend went to work. Then I slept until 11am. I didn’t have the house to myself, however, because it’s a teacher in service day, so my daughter and the boyfriend’s kids are home. My daughter cleaned the house so her boyfriend could come over. Now I don’t have any chores to do. Which is fantastic.

I spent most of the day, after I awoke, sorting my new jewelry beads. My OCD is being satisfied today. Before I knew it, it was time to feed the children… and the boyfriend. I honestly would’ve been fine with a bowl of cereal but, c’est la vie. Of course, I am wide awake. I don’t have much hope for sleep anytime soon.

It’s going to be another long night.
