Another go

Abstract painting

My entire life, I’ve been told how stubborn I am. They weren’t wrong. I’m a stubborn mule. I’m not one to believe in Zodiac stuff, or anything really, but technically I am a Taurus. And I AM bullheaded. Maybe there’s something to it all?

So here I am…. again… pouring paint and making a mess. I did learn a few things from yesterday.

  1. They give you gloves for a reason.

  2. Be cautious with the oil.

  3. Start small.

  4. I need a dryer or heat gun. Blowing on the paint to get it to swirl is making me lightheaded.

I started with blue, red, purple, and white. But it seemed too cheery, and I’m not cheery. So I added some silver leafing and black shadows to make it feel more like what’s in my head.

This canvas is just a little guy, 6x6. It was much easier. A few more of these and then maybe I can work my way up…. now time to Google about that dryer.
