Today was the Harvest the Arts Festival.
Amanda’s daughter and I had a booth at the festival. Because we are both not “people” people, I chose a spot in the back. Not the best for sales, but the right for two people with high anxiety. We sat in the back of the booth while my kiddo and Amanda were in charge of being social.
All-in-all, the festival was fun, even if we didn’t sell a lot. From what I gather, though, not many booths did. The entire event was a fundraiser and seemed that the majority of the attendees used the event as an exhibit as opposed to a craft faire. Lots of looking, not a lot of purchasing.
One bright spot, I donated a painting to the silent auction. I spied as people collected their winnings. The woman who won my painting was truly excited. That was a good feeling. I have no doubt that she’ll proudly hang up my art in her home.
My people battery has been exhausted and it’s now time to recharge.
