Peopling

I’ve exhausted my peopling meter for the month.
Only for Amanda would I do this. I started bright and early this morning. Met Amanda and her daughter at Dollar Tree to get some last minute things for the “Hell” table at her school’s fundraiser tonight. She’s going for a “Gothic fancy dinner in Hell” vibe. Again, as I said yesterday, searching for decor during EASTER, isn’t exactly easy. I don’t think they do pastels in Hell. But, we did it. Somehow. Between me, Amanda, and her daughter, we managed to create a beautiful, gothic table in all reds and blacks. It doesn’t scream “Hell” but my 19-year-old inner goth might actually smile.
Did I mention that the dinner is also costumed? Yeah. I’m going as a demon. In March. During Easter season. I was initially going to go “fancy” but decided last minute to go as a heavy metal hellion. I made, yes made, gothic looking devil horns, wore my Exodus band shirt, black jeans, and jewelry that is usually reserved for the Aftershock festival. Oh, and sneakers. Which is why I went this direction. I knew there would be a lot of walking, and I didn’t feel like having sore feet at the end of the night. Amanda’s hubby dropped her off at my house so I could do her make-up, and then we were off.
All-in-all, it was a fun night. The food was good, I won some desserts, one of my paintings sold in auction, and I left with Harley Davidson merch from the raffle that I am probably going to give my tattoo guy. Judging from how much Amanda’s feet seemed to hurt by the end of the night (she chose the “fancy” route), sneakers were a wise idea. One thing is for certain, thought. I don’t think I can people again for awhile.
Only for Amanda.
