Didn’t softball just end?

My kiddo decided to take the summer off of softball so that she can, and I quote, “Get her life together.” She wants to get a summer job, straighten out her mind, and finally get her driver’s permit…

On a side note, why don’t kids these days want to get their license? Like, seriously. Almost every teen I’ve know lately, has no desire to drive. I’ve also had several conversations with other parents who are experiencing the same thing. I don’t get it. When I was that age, a license was like a card of freedom. Not only that, but I’m really tired of being the chauffeur. My name is not Uber. Dammit.

Anyway… she committed to guesting for her old, and future travel ball team at tournament this weekend. To prep, she told them that she would attend their practices this week. Tonight was a three hour practice, so to pass the time, I indulged at Target.

It’s like déjà vu.
