Anywhere else

I want to be anywhere else but here.

Things would probably improve if I just spoke up instead of keeping everything inside and letting my traitorous thoughts fester. The boyfriend knows something is wrong, I can see it in his eyes, but he doesn’t ask and I don’t volunteer. Therein lies the problem.

When it comes to fight or flight, I might as well have wings.
