Rainbow in the dark

Today is the boyfriend’s birthday. Today my parents are moving. Today my body is not cooperating. Today rearrange my living room. Today is chaos.

I started with a rainbow gradation, then added an iridescent gloss. It seemed too cheerful for my current mood. However, I didn’t want to completely cover up the color, so I let the rainbow dry, then added a grey gradient. Then, very quickly, started scraping some of it off to show just a hint of the color behind. When that wasn’t enough, as I feel a bit chaotic, I added some squiggles… because, why not?

I don’t think this is what Dio had in mind when he wrote “Rainbow In The Dark.” I think he’d still approve.
