I pretty much didn’t stop all day.

After getting ready, I had errands. First, I had to go to Ulta. I had promised Amanda’s daughter that I would do her make up for the winter formal dance this evening… and dance that my daughter was supposed to go to, but didn’t… long story. Then, art store (of course). Then to my therapist… I mean tattoo artist… to make an appointment.

It’s been way too long since my last tattoo, and my back isn’t finished yet. It was good to see him. He’s kinda intimidating when you first see him. Close your eyes and picture this: a former biker turned tattoo artist. Got it in your head? I can almost guarantee that your picture isn’t too far off from reality. Unless you read MC Romance novels, then you’re WAY off. But when you get to know him, and you’re on his good side, he’s just a big teddy bear. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve heard stories, and if you’re on his bad side, he’s scary as Hell. But, he’s good at what he does and I’ve been going to him for years.

Then it was off to Amanda’s to do her daughter’s makeup. There’s not many of my daughter’s friends that I’m truly comfortable around, and maybe it’s because I’m friends with her mom, or that, during softball season, I see her almost as much as my own kid. I also take both of them to school a few days a week (Amanda take them the other days). I don’t think if it was her, I would’ve agreed. In the end, she looked gorgeous, and I gave her a bunch of makeup and told her how to use it. Yes, I know, a teenage girl that doesn’t know how to put on makeup, it was a surprise to me too.

When I finally got home, it was just in time for my daughter’s dad to pick her up for the night. The boyfriend went to his friend’s for “just a bit” (also known as, 5 hours). The boyfriend’s kids weren’t home either. His daughter went to the dance and his son was at his girlfriends. It was eerie. Just me and the animals. Alone. No one else.

It’s too quiet.
